Riding Lessons
-
Ride with awareness - learn to listen as much as you guide.
-
Behavior-focused - understand what your horse’s body language is telling you.
-
Body-conscious - release tension in both horse and rider for smoother communication.
-
Confidence, not pressure - progress at a pace that feels steady, safe, and kind.
What a typical lesson looks like.
Lessons are calm, structured, and tailored to you and your horse.
We start by checking in — how your horse is feeling that day, how you’re feeling in your body, and what you’d both benefit from most. From there, we might work on:
Flatwork foundations with a focus on softness and balance
Ground Poles or Jump at a level that feels safe and achievable
Groundwork tie-ins to set the tone before getting in the saddle
Breath and awareness practices for riders to bring focus and calm into the ride
Every lesson is a blend of riding skills and awareness designed to leave both horse and rider feeling supported and connected while they make progress as a TEAM.
Why ride with us?
Traditional lessons often push for more: more collection, more fences, more miles in the ring. Our riding lessons are as much about listening as they are about learning.
Hunter flat & over fences, plus low-level dressage — I bring 8 years of teaching experience in both the hunter ring and on the flat, along with a background in low-level dressage work that builds balance and harmony.
Behavior-focused: We pay attention to what your horse is telling you — ears, tail, body language — so communication feels like a dialogue, not a demand.
Body-focused: We look at both bodies in the partnership. Is your horse bracing? Are you holding tension? Together, we work on awareness that makes riding smoother and kinder for both sides.
On the road (for now): I currently travel to clients, with a permanent teaching location to come once the right space is secured.
Certified instruction: I’m in the process of earning ARIA certification in Hunter and Hunter Over Fences, to be completed by November 2025.
While my foundation is in hunters, I welcome riders from all disciplines who want to approach their horses with more softness, awareness, and connection.
Space is limited - and we teach until we feel the lesson is complete! Because of that, we only book through email. Click below to send one!
