Where Horsemanship Meets Healing

Classes and resources that help you understand your horse from the inside out, support your own nervous system, and bring more awareness to the work you do together — on the ground, in the saddle, and the spaces in between.

There’s More Happening Than Most Horse People Were Taught to See

For a long time, horse training has been treated like a simple question of obedience.

Did the horse do it, or not?

But horses are living, feeling, moving bodies with brains, nervous systems, instincts, pain histories, emotional needs, and learned responses. And a relationship with the human beside them.

The human is part of the equation, too.

Your breath, your tension, your balance, your confidence, your timing, your nervous system, it all shows up in the conversation.

Learn in a Way That Looks at the Whole Picture

Here you'll find classes, guides, and resources that help you understand the horse from the inside out, support your own nervous system, and bring more awareness into the work you do on the ground, in the saddle, and everywhere in between.

Online Classes for Equestrians

A growing collection of classes and resources that help you understand horses from the inside out, covering behavior, anatomy, emotional systems, nervous system responses, body tension, groundwork, rider awareness, and the horse-human relationship.

Classes are offered in two formats to fit where you are and what you need:

Foundational Classes are short, focused lessons (10–12 minutes) that introduce key concepts in digestible, standalone videos. Perfect for building your knowledge one idea at a time.

Focus Classes go deeper. These 30–45 minute classes explore a topic in fuller context, giving you more understanding, more nuance, and more to work with.

Both formats are organized across five topic areas:

Behavior + Communication

Understand what your horse may be telling you through tension, resistance, curiosity, shutdown, body language, and emotional responses.

Body + Anatomy

Learn how the equine body holds tension, compensates, protects, braces, and communicates through movement and expression.

Brain + Nervous System

Explore how the horse's brain, emotional systems, stress responses, regulation, and learning shape everyday training.

Groundwork + Horsemanship

Build practical skills on the ground through awareness, timing, relaxation, consent, connection, and clearer communication.

Horse + Human Connection

Look at how your own body, breath, balance, confidence, timing, and nervous system influence the horse beside you.

    Caitlyn

I'm Chelsie Brooks, an equine behavior specialist and IAABC member with over 30 years of experience in the horse world. I'm professionally trained in equine massage - not because I set out to be a bodyworker, but because anatomy kept showing up in my behavior work. You can't fully understand why a horse resists, braces, or shuts down without understanding the body underneath. I needed hands-on experience to bring it all together!

At the core of everything I do is a belief that horses deserve a voice. Every behavior is a form of communication, and when we take the time to listen, we uncover what they truly need. My role is to help you understand those signals and guide both horse and rider toward trust, relaxation, and balance — creating space for horses to be heard and for real partnership to grow.

Nice to Meet You!
