Where Horsemanship Meets Healing

A regulation-first approach to helping horses heal old tension, build stability, and grow into capable, confident partners.

The Grounded, Capable, Confident Program

The Grounded, Capable, Confident Program is designed to help horses feel safer, steadier, and more organized in their bodies and minds.

This program is for horses who struggle with things like tension, reactivity, anxiety, shutting down, rushing, bracing, inconsistency, or difficulty settling. It is also helpful for lesson horses, retirees, performance horses, young horses, and horses in regular work who would benefit from better balance, confidence, and emotional regulation.

The goal is not to make a horse quiet by suppressing their emotions. The goal is to help them understand how to come back to themselves when they feel overwhelmed.

In each session, we work on skills that help the horse:

  • Release tension and soften through the body

  • Learn how to pause, breathe, and settle

  • Build confidence through simple, clear exercises

  • Improve body awareness and balance

  • Move with less bracing and more thoughtfulness

  • Handle pressure without panic, shutdown, or resistance

  • Feel more secure in their relationship with people

We begin with nervous system regulation and relaxation. From there, we add groundwork, movement, body awareness exercises, light strength-building work, and confidence-based challenges that meet the horse where they are.

This is not about forcing a horse through a problem or rushing them into obedience. It is about giving them clear, consistent support so they can learn how to stay connected, think through pressure, and feel more capable over time.

This is also not a quick fix. Horses are living, emotional beings. Regulation is not something they achieve once and keep forever. This program gives them tools they can return to again and again as they move through training, handling, riding, changes in environment, or everyday life.

Sessions are 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Focus Classes

Our focus classes cost less than an in-person session and are a great way to pick and choose what you want to work on! Each class stems from the principles and work we do in the Grounded, Capable, Confident Program.

With a greater demand for knowledge happening in the equestrian world, focus classes are a fantastic way to expand and grow with your equine partner!

New classes drop monthly (sometimes twice monthly) - so make sure you check in regularly!

Foundational Classes

Our free Foundational Classes are a solid starting point for horse owners who want to better understand what may be happening beneath the surface. Through four of our most popular classes, Regulation First and The Power of Presence, we introduce a couple of my favorite pieces of the Grounded, Capable, Confident program.

I’m Chelsie Brooks, an equine behavior specialist and an IAABC member with over 30 years of experience in the horse world. At the core of my work is a belief that horses deserve a voice. Every behavior is a form of communication, and when we take the time to listen, we uncover what our horses truly need. My role is to help you understand those signals and guide both horse and rider toward trust, relaxation, and balance. The general goal is always the same…creating space for horses to be heard and for real partnership to grow.

Nice to Meet You!
