Our Mission
Our mission is to help horse people support their horses on a deeper level- beyond training, cues, and performance.
We focus on nervous system regulation, body awareness, and emotional release, allowing horses to shift from a state of tension and survival into one of balance, safety, and connection.
This work isn’t about teaching horses to be calm. It’s about helping them rediscover the calmness that is already within them.
By guiding owners and riders in understanding the horse’s nervous system, movement patterns, and emotional needs, we create space for true transformation.
When we rest and reset the nervous system, release tension, and shift limiting beliefs both in the horse and the human, we open the door to more meaningful communication and effortless partnership.
Horses become more confident, willing, and expressive, not because they’ve been conditioned to be, but because they feel safe enough to be.
We are at a tipping point in the equine world. Thank you for being part of this shift. ❤️

Chelsie Brooks
Chelsie is an Equine Behaviorist, Founder of Willow’s Way Equine, and a lifelong equestrian. She holds a BSc in Equine Science with a focus on behavior and a 150-hour Equine Psychology certification, with hundreds of applied hours.
Starting her journey at age 8 in the hunter ring, Chelsie spent her twenties leasing, training, and schooling horses for clients. After a break to focus on family and completing her degree, she dove back in when her first-born daughter asked to ride at age 3, dressage this time!
The pivotal moment in Chelsie’s path came when she adopted Willow, a pony with a difficult past and a sensitive soul. Willow’s anxieties and fears required a far gentler approach than the traditional dominance-based training methods Chelsie had once been taught.
So, she turned to true natural horsemanship—not just the idea of it, but the kind that embraces time, patience, and genuine partnership.
Chelsie absorbed every resource she could find, blending behavioral science with heart-centered intuition, leading her to the realization that horses thrive when we listen to them as much as we guide them.
Along this journey, Chelsie found yoga, earning her 200HR certification. Her yoga practice added a new depth to her work with horses, bringing mindfulness, grounded energy, and a deep respect for the power of presence into every interaction.
The principles of yoga—breath, balance, and connection—have become central to her approach, helping both horses and humans find calm, resilience, and mutual trust.
Today, Chelsie offers comprehensive online courses to help people better understand their horses, guiding them in practices like structured groundwork, clicker training, and play.
Her work fosters a more mindful partnership where both horse and human can truly thrive.

Emme
Emme is Chelsie’s daughter, assistant, and pretty much always around. She loves to help and has been a rider since age 3, where she received a foundation in dressage.
She now rides and trains in the hunter realm, and loves to jump! She practices equine massage and bodywork every chance she gets, is obsessed with liberty training, and spends every free moment at the farm with her lease horse, Lucy!

Willow
We lost Willow after a brave battle with cancer in September of 2023. We miss her terribly, but her spirit lives on in so many ways. She is with us in every moment, and as the inspiration for every course we offer, she is forever a Willow’s Way team member.
