Our Mission
Our mission is to help horse people support their horses on a deeper level, beyond training, cues, and performance.
Willow’s Way was created for the people who want to understand more: more about the body, the nervous system, behavior, emotional well-being, and the ways horses communicate when something feels hard, overwhelming, or misunderstood.
This work is not about teaching horses to be quiet, obedient, or calm on command. It is about helping people recognize what their horses may be trying to show them, so they can respond with more awareness, compassion, and confidence.
Through online classes and resources, we help horse owners and riders look beneath the surface, ask better questions, and support the horse as a whole being, body, brain, emotions, and relationship included.
Because when horses feel safer, more understood, and better supported, they have more room to move, connect, express themselves, and participate with confidence.
We believe the equine world is ready for a more thoughtful way forward. Thank you for being part of it.

Chelsie Brooks
Horses have been part of my story for as long as I can remember. I started riding at just eight years old in a traditional hunter-jumper barn and never really stopped. From pony lessons to showing through college, horses shaped the way I saw the world and the way I carried myself through it.
In my early twenties, I ran a small schooling and training business and taught hunter lessons over fences. I’ve been an owner, a trainer, a boarder, and a leasee…I’ve played nearly every role this industry has to offer. When I paused to start a family, I thought I might be stepping away for good, but when my oldest daughter said she wanted to ride at age 3, I found myself right back in the barn with her.
Everything shifted when I met my mare, Willow. She opened my eyes to just how many layers there are beneath what we call “behavior.” With her, I realized that horses are constantly speaking, and if we don’t slow down and listen, we miss their voice. That’s when I knew I wanted to dedicate myself fully to understanding how horses talk to us.
I went back to school to complete my Bachelor of Science in Equine Studies, and at the encouragement of my professor, pursued further education in equine psychology. From there, I became certified in equine psychology and later certified in equine energy work. As a lifelong yoga enthusiast, I believe energy, mindfulness, and movement are just as important for horses as they are for us.
Today, I continue to expand my education, always seeking better ways to support horses and their people. My work blends behavior science, positive reinforcement, energy awareness, and practical experience to create trust, relaxation, and genuine connection.
At the heart of it all, my goal is simple: to give horses a voice and help their people learn how to hear it.

Emme
Emme is Chelsie’s daughter, assistant, and pretty much always around. She loves to help and has been a rider since age 3, where she received a foundation in dressage.
She now rides and trains in the hunter realm, and loves to jump! She practices equine massage and bodywork every chance she gets, is obsessed with liberty training, and spends every free moment at the farm with her lease horse, Lucy!

Willow
We lost Willow after a brave battle with cancer in September of 2023. We miss her terribly, but her spirit lives on in so many ways. She is with us in every moment, and as the inspiration for this business, she is forever a Willow’s Way team member.
