Where Horsemanship Meets Healing
Equine Behavior Specialist helping horses heal from trauma, fear, anxiety, and stress while owners heal from frustration and feeling stuck.
The Heart of Our Work
At Willow’s Way, everything begins with listening…to the horse, to the environment, and to you. Behavior isn’t a problem to be fixed. It’s communication waiting to be understood.
We combine science and compassion to uncover what your horse is truly saying and to guide both horse and owner toward trust and balance.
What this looks like in practice:
Observation and Conversation – Understanding your horse’s history, daily life, and body language.
Groundwork and Play – Safe, respectful exercises that reveal patterns and help build new ones while we encourage play and exploring movement outside of restriction.
Nervous System Regulation – Supporting calm responses instead of reactivity.
Positive Reinforcement – Teaching and modifying behavior through reward and choice, not pressure or force.
Owner Education – True progress continues long after the session ends.
This is where horsemanship meets healing. Where behavior challenges turn into opportunities for connection, growth, and resilience.

Energy Sessions
Horses are deeply sensitive to energy. Certified in Equine Energy Healing, I help release tension, encourage relaxation, and support balance in both horse and owner.
This gentle approach can complement behavior consultations, riding, or daily care, and offers horses a wonderful way to feel better! -
Riding Lessons
Riding should feel like partnership, not a battle. My lessons focus on how your horse is behaving under saddle and how you can work with that behavior to build confidence and progress!

I’m Chelsie Brooks, an equine behavior specialist and an IAABC member with over 30 years of experience in the horse world. At the core of my work is a belief that horses deserve a voice. Every behavior is a form of communication, and when we take the time to listen, we uncover what our horses truly need. My role is to help you understand those signals and guide both horse and rider toward trust, relaxation, and balance. The general goal is always the same…creating space for horses to be heard and for real partnership to grow.
